Hadith text

Narrated 'Aisha: (the mother of the faithful believers) Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) replied, "Sometimes it is (revealed) like the ringing of a bell, this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all and then this state passes off after I have grasped what is inspired. Sometimes the Angel comes in the form of a man and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says." 'Aisha added: Verily I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) being inspired divinely on a very cold day and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead (as the Inspiration was over)

Hazrat Ayesha (رضی اللہ عنہا) farmati hain ke Harith bin Hisham (رضی اللہ عنہ) ne Allah ke Rasool (ﷺ) se pucha: "Ya Rasoolallah, aap ke paas wahi kaise aati hai?" Aap (ﷺ) ne farmaya: "Kabhi ghanti ki awaaz ki tarah aati hai, aur yehi sabse mushkil hoti hai — phir jab woh khatam hoti hai to mujhe yaad ho chuka hota hai jo kaha gaya. Aur kabhi farishta insaan ki shakl mein aakar mujhse baat karta hai, to mujhe yaad rehta hai jo woh kehta hai." Ayesha (رضی اللہ عنہا) farmati hain ke maine khud dekha hai ke sakht sardi ke din bhi jab aap par wahi utarti thi to (wahi khatam hone ke baad) aap ke maathe se paseena tapak raha hota tha.
