Hadith text
Narrated Mahmud bin Rabi` Al-Ansari:`Itban bin Malik used to lead his people (tribe) in prayer and was a blind man, he said to Allah's Apostle , "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! At times it is dark and flood water is flowing (in the valley) and I am a blind man, so please pray at a place in my house so that I can take it as a Musalla (praying place)." So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) went to his house and said, "Where do you like me to pray?" 'Itban pointed to a place in his house and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), offered the prayer there
Mahmud bin Rabi Al-Ansari bataate hain ke Itban bin Malik apni qaum ki imamat karte the aur andhe the, unhone Allah ke Rasool se kaha: "Ya Rasoolallah! Kabhi andhera ho jaata hai aur (wadi mein) baarish ka paani beh raha hota hai, aur main andha hoon, isliye meri gharelu jagah par namaz padh dijiye taake main use Musalla bana sakoon." To Allah ke Rasool unke ghar gaye aur pucha: "Kahan padhoon namaz?" Itban ne apne ghar mein ek jagah ishara ki, Allah ke Rasool ne wahan namaz padhi.
