Hadith text
Narrated Jabir bin Samura:`Umar said to Sa`d, "The people complained against you in everything, even in prayer." Sa`d replied, "Really I used to prolong the first two rak`at and shorten the last two and I will never shorten the prayer in which I follow Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)." `Umar said, "You are telling the truth and that is what I think about you
Jabir bin Samura bataate hain ke Umar ne Sa'd se kaha: "Logon ne har cheez mein tumhari shikayat ki, yahan tak ke namaz mein bhi." Sa'd ne jawab diya: "Sach mein, main pehli do rakat lambi aur aakhri do chhoti karta tha, aur us namaz mein kabhi kami nahi karunga jisme Allah ke Rasool ki pairvi karta hoon." Umar ne kaha: "Tum sach keh rahe ho, aur yehi mera tumhare baare mein khayaal tha."
