Hadith text

Narrated Rifa`a bin Rafi` Az-Zuraqi:One day we were praying behind the Prophet. When he raised his head from bowing, he said, "Sami`a l-lahu liman hamidah." A man behind him said, "Rabbana wa laka l-hamdu, hamdan kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fihi" (O our Lord! All the praises are for You, many good and blessed praises). When the Prophet completed the prayer, he asked, "Who has said these words?" The man replied, "I." The Prophet said, "I saw over thirty angels competing to write it first." Prophet rose (from bowing) and stood straight till all the vertebrae of his spinal column came to a natural position

Rifa'a bin Rafi Az-Zuraqi bataate hain: "Ek din hum Nabi ke peechhe namaz padh rahe the. Jab Aap ne ruku se sar utha kar 'Sami' Allahu liman hamidah' kaha, unke peechhe ek shaks ne kaha: 'Rabbana wa lakal-hamdu, hamdan kathiran taiyiban mubarakan fihi' (Aye humare Rab! Bahut, achhi aur mubarak tareef teri hi hai). Namaz mukammal karke Nabi ne pucha: 'Yeh alfaaz kisne kahe?' Us shaks ne kaha: 'Maine.' Nabi ne farmaya: 'Maine teesse zyada farishton ko ise sabse pehle likhne ki hodh mein dekha.'" Nabi (ruku se) uthkar tab tak seedhe khade rehte jab tak unki reedh ki sab haddiyan apni sahih jagah par na aa jaatin.
