Book 13: The Two Festivals (Eids) · Hadith 2
Hadith text
Narrated Aisha:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to my house while two girls were singing beside me the songs of Buath (a story about the war between the two tribes of the Ansar, the Khazraj and the Aus, before Islam). The Prophet (ﷺ) lay down and turned his face to the other side. Then Abu Bakr came and spoke to me harshly saying, "Musical instruments of Satan near the Prophet (ﷺ) ?" Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) turned his face towards him and said, "Leave them." When Abu Bakr became inattentive, I signaled to those girls to go out and they left. It was the day of `Id, and the Black people were playing with shields and spears; so either I requested the Prophet (ﷺ) or he asked me whether I would like to see the display. I replied in the affirmative. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) made me stand behind him and my cheek was touching his cheek and he was saying, "Carry on! O Bani Arfida," till I got tired. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked me, "Are you satisfied (Is that sufficient for you)?" I replied in the affirmative and he told me to leave
Ayesha (رضی اللہ عنہا) bataati hain: Allah ke Rasool mere ghar aaye jabke do ladkiyan mere paas Buath ke geet ga rahi thi (Islam se pehle Ansaar ke do qabile Khazraj aur Aus ke darmiyan jung ki ek kahani). Nabi let gaye aur apna chehra doosri taraf mod liya. Phir Abu Bakr aaye aur mujhse sakhti se kaha: "Nabi ke qareeb shaitan ke saaz?" Allah ke Rasool ne apna chehra unki taraf karke kaha: "Unhe rehne do." Jab Abu Bakr ka dhyan hat gaya, maine un ladkiyon ko ishara kiya bahar jaane ka aur woh chali gayin. Yeh Eid ka din tha, aur kaale log dhaal aur nezon se khel dikha rahe the; ya to maine Nabi se guzarish ki ya unhone khud pucha kya main dekhna chahti hoon. Maine haan mein jawab diya. Phir Nabi ne mujhe apne peechhe khada kiya, mera gaal unke gaal se chhoo raha tha, aur woh keh rahe the: "Jaari rakho! Aye Bani Arfida," yahan tak ke main thak gayi. Nabi ne pucha: "Kya tumhe kaafi hai?" Maine haan mein jawab diya aur unhone mujhe jaane ko kaha.
