Hadith text
Narrated Al-Bara' bin `Azib:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The first thing that we should do on this day of ours is to pray and then return to slaughter the sacrifice. So anyone who does so, he acted according to our Sunna (tradition), and whoever slaughtered the sacrifice before the prayer, it was just meat which he presented to his family and would not be considered as Nusuk." A person from the Ansar named Abu Burda bin Niyar said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I slaughtered the Nusuk (before the prayer) but I have a young shegoat which is better than an older sheep." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Sacrifice it in lieu of the first, but it will not be sufficient (as a sacrifice) for anybody else after you
Al-Bara bin Azib (رضی اللہ عنہ) bataate hain: Nabi ne farmaya: "Humein sabse pehle jo karna chahiye woh namaz hai, phir qurbani ke liye wapas jaana. Jo aisa kare, usne humari Sunnat ke mutabiq amal kiya, aur jisne namaz se pehle apni qurbani zabah ki, woh sirf gosht tha jo usne apne ghar walon ko diya, use Nusuk nahi maana jayega." Ansaar ke ek shaks, Abu Burda bin Niyar naam ke, ne kaha: "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Maine Nusuk (namaz se pehle) zabah ki magar mere paas ek jawan bakri hai jo ek purani bhed se behtar hai." Nabi ne farmaya: "Ise pehli ke badle mein zabah kar do, magar tumhare baad kisi aur ke liye yeh kaafi nahi hogi (qurbani ke tor par)."
