Book 16: Eclipses · Hadith 18
Hadith text
Narrated Abu Musa:The sun eclipsed and the Prophet (ﷺ) got up, being afraid that it might be the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment). He went to the Mosque and offered the prayer with the longest Qiyam, bowing and prostration that I had ever seen him doing. Then he said, "These signs which Allah sends do not occur because of the life or death of somebody, but Allah makes His worshipers afraid by them. So when you see anything thereof, proceed to remember Allah, invoke Him and ask for His forgiveness
Abu Musa (رضی اللہ عنہ) bataate hain: Suraj grahan hua aur Nabi is dar se ke kahin yeh Qiyamat (ki ghadi) na ho, uth khade hue. Aap masjid gaye aur sabse lambi Qiyam, ruku aur sajde ke saath namaz padhi jo maine unhe kabhi karte nahi dekha tha. Phir Aap ne farmaya: "Yeh nishaaniyan jo Allah bhejta hai, kisi ki zindagi ya maut ki wajah se nahi hoti, balki Allah inse apne bandon ko darata hai. Isliye jab tum inme se kuch dekho, Allah ko yaad karne, usse dua karne aur maafi maangne mein lag jao."
