Sahih al-Bukhari 1113

Hadith text

Narrated `Aisha:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prayed in his house while sitting during his illness and the people prayed behind him standing and he pointed to them to sit down. When he had finished the prayer, he said, "The Imam is to be followed and so when he bows you should bow; and when he lifts his head you should also do the same

Ayesha (رضی اللہ عنہا) bataati hain: Allah ke Rasool ne apni bimari mein ghar mein baithkar namaz padhi aur log unke peechhe khade padhe, Aap ne unhe baithne ka ishara kiya. Namaz khatam karke farmaya: "Imam ki pairvi ki jaati hai, isliye jab woh ruku kare, tum bhi karo; aur jab woh sar utha kar khade ho, tum bhi ho."
