Hadith text

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah has made Mecca a sanctuary (sacred place) and it was a sanctuary before me and will be so after me. It was made legal for me (to fight in it) for a few hours of the day. None is allowed to uproot its thorny shrubs or to cut its trees or to chase its game or to pick up its fallen things except by a person who announces it publicly." On that Al-Abbas said (to the Prophet), "Except Al- Idhkhir for our goldsmiths and for our graves." And so the Prophet (ﷺ) added, "Except Al-Idhkhir. " And Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Except Al-Idhkhir for our graves and houses." And Ibn `Abbas said, "For their goldsmiths and houses

Ibn Abbas (رضی اللہ عنہما) bataate hain: Nabi ne farmaya: "Allah ne Mecca ko haram (muqaddas jagah) banaya, aur yeh mujhse pehle bhi haram thi aur mere baad bhi rahegi. Yeh mere liye din ke kuch ghanton ke liye halal ki gayi thi (yaani sirf ek din ke liye jang ki ijazat mili). Kisi ko isse (yani Mecca se) kaante-daar jhaadiyan ukhadane, darakht kaatne, uske jaanwaron ka shikaar karne, ya uski gum-shuda cheezein uthane ki ijazat nahi, siwaye woh shaks jo isse aam elaan kare." Isspar Abbas ne (Nabi se) kaha: "Siwaye Idhkhir ke, humare sunaron aur humari qabron ke liye." Isliye Nabi ne joda: "Siwaye Idhkhir ke." Aur Abu Huraira ne bataya ke Nabi ne farmaya: "Siwaye Idhkhir ke, humari qabron aur gharon ke liye." Aur Ibn Abbas ne kaha: "Unke sunaron aur gharon ke liye."
