Hadith text

Narrated Al-Bara' bin 'Azib : The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a faithful believer is made to sit in his grave, then (the angels) come to him and he testifies that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Apostle. And that corresponds to Allah's statement: Allah will keep firm those who believe with the word that stands firm . . . (14.27). Narrated Shu'ba: Same as above and added, "Allah will keep firm those who believe . . . (14.27) was revealed concerning the punishment of the grave

Al-Bara bin Azib (رضی اللہ عنہ) bataate hain: Nabi ne farmaya: "Jab ek sacche momin ko uski qabar mein baithaya jaata hai, (farishte) uske paas aate hain aur woh gawahi deta hai ke Allah ke siwa koi mabood nahi aur Muhammad Allah ke Rasool hain. Aur yeh Allah ke farmaan ke mutabiq hai: 'Allah unhe jo iman rakhte hain, mazboot lafz par jama rahne dega' (14:27)." Shu'ba bataate hain (yehi upar wali riwayat) aur joda: "'Allah unhe jo iman rakhte hain mazboot rakhega' (14:27) yeh ayat qabar ke azaab ke baare mein nazil hui."
