Hadith text

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had fixed Dhul Hulaifa as the Miqat for the people of Medina; Al-Juhfa for the people of Sham; and Qarn Ul-Manazil for the people of Najd; and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. So, these (above mentioned) are the Mawaqit for all those living at those places, and besides them for those who come through those places with the intention of performing Hajj and `Umra and whoever lives within these places should assume Ihram from his dwelling place, and similarly the people of Mecca can assume Ihram from Mecca

Ibn Abbas (رضی اللہ عنہما) bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool ne Madina walon ke liye Dhul-Hulaifa, Sham walon ke liye Al-Juhfa, aur Najd walon ke liye Qarn-ul-Manazil, aur Yemen walon ke liye Yalamlam ko Miqat muqarrar kiya. To, yeh (upar bataye) Miqat un sab logon ke liye hain jo wahin rehte hain, aur unke ilawa un logon ke liye bhi jo un jagahon se guzarte huye Hajj-Umrah karne ka iraada rakhte hain, aur jo in jagahon ke andar rehta hai woh apni jagah se hi Ihram baandhe, aur isi tarah Mecca wale Mecca se Ihram baandh sakte hain.
