Hadith text

Narrated Al-Qasim bin Muhammad:' Aisha said, "We set out with Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) in the months of Hajj, and (in) the nights of Hajj, and at the time and places of Hajj and in a state of Hajj. We dismounted at Sarif (a village six miles from Mecca). The Prophet (ﷺ) then addressed his companions and said, "Anyone who has not got the Hadi and likes to do Umra instead of Hajj may do so (i.e. Hajj-al-Tamattu`) and anyone who has got the Hadi should not finish the Ihram after performing ' `Umra). (i.e. Hajj-al-Qiran). Aisha added, "The companions of the Prophet (ﷺ) obeyed the above (order) and some of them (i.e. who did not have Hadi) finished their Ihram after Umra." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and some of his companions were resourceful and had the Hadi with them, they could not perform Umra (alone) (but had to perform both Hajj and Umra with one Ihram). Aisha added, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to me and saw me weeping and said, "What makes you weep, O Hantah?" I replied, "I have heard your conversation with your companions and I cannot perform the Umra." He asked, "What is wrong with you?' I replied, ' I do not offer the prayers (i.e. I have my menses).' He said, ' It will not harm you for you are one of the daughters of Adam, and Allah has written for you (this state) as He has written it for them. Keep on with your intentions for Hajj and Allah may reward you that." Aisha further added, "Then we proceeded for Hajj till we reached Mina and I became clean from my menses. Then I went out from Mina and performed Tawaf round the Ka`ba." Aisha added, "I went along with the Prophet (ﷺ) in his final departure (from Hajj) till he dismounted at Al-Muhassab (a valley outside Mecca), and we too, dismounted with him." He called ' `Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr and said to him, ' Take your sister outside the sanctuary of Mecca and let her assume Ihram for ' `Umra, and when you have finished `Umra, return to this place and I will wait for you both till you both return to me.' " ' Aisha added, " So we went out of the sanctuary of Mecca and after finishing from the ' `Umra and the Tawaf we returned to the Prophet (ﷺ) at dawn. He said, 'Have you performed the ' `Umra?' We replied in the affirmative. So he announced the departure amongst his companions and the people set out for the journey, and the Prophet: too left for Medina

Al-Qasim bin Muhammad bataate hain: Ayesha ne kaha: "Hum Allah ke Rasool ke saath Hajj ke maheenon mein, Hajj ki raaton mein, Hajj ke waqt aur jagahon par, aur Hajj ki haalat mein nikle. Hum Sarif (Mecca se chhe mil ki jagah) mein utre. Nabi ne apne sahaba se khitaab kiya aur kaha: 'Jiske paas Hadi na ho aur woh Hajj ke bajaye Umrah karna chahe, kar sakta hai (yaani Hajj-al-Tamattu), aur jiske paas Hadi ho use Umrah ke baad Ihram khatam nahi karna chahiye (yaani Hajj-al-Qiran).'" Ayesha ne joda: "Nabi ke sahaba ne is hukum ki itaa'at ki aur kuch (jinke paas Hadi nahi tha) ne Umrah ke baad Ihram khatam kar diya." Allah ke Rasool aur kuch sahaba, jo bahut saadhan sampann the, unke paas Hadi tha, isliye woh sirf Umrah nahi kar sakte the (magar unhe Hajj-Umrah dono ek Ihram mein karna pada). Ayesha ne joda: "Allah ke Rasool mere paas aaye aur mujhe rote dekha, poocha: 'Aye Hantah! Tum kyun ro rahi ho?' Maine jawab diya: 'Maine aapki apne sahaba se guftagu suni hai aur main Umrah nahi kar sakti.' Aap ne pucha: 'Kya baat hai?' Maine jawab diya: 'Main namaz nahi padh rahi (yaani mujhe haiz aaya hai).' Aap ne farmaya: 'Isse tumhein nuqsaan nahi hoga, kyunke tum bhi Adam ki betiyon mein se ho, aur Allah ne tumhare liye (yeh haalat) waisi hi likhi hai jaisi unke liye likhi hai. Apni Hajj ki niyyat jaari rakho aur Allah tumhe iska ajr dega.'" Ayesha ne aage joda: "Phir hum Hajj ke liye chale yahan tak ke Mina pahunche aur main haiz se paak ho gayi. Phir main Mina se nikal kar Ka'ba ka Tawaf karne gayi." Ayesha ne joda: "Main Nabi ke saath unki aakhri wapasi mein gayi yahan tak ke woh Al-Muhassab (Mecca ke bahar ek wadi) mein utre, aur hum bhi unke saath utre." Aap ne Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr ko bulaya aur unse kaha: "Apni behn ko Mecca ki seema se bahar le jaao aur unhe Umrah ka Ihram baandhne do, aur jab woh Umrah khatam kar lein, wapas is jagah aana, main tum dono ka intezar yahin karunga jab tak tum wapas na aa jao." Ayesha ne joda: "Isliye hum Mecca ki seema se bahar gaye, aur Umrah aur Tawaf khatam karke, hum subah hote hi Nabi ke paas wapas aa gaye. Aap ne pucha: 'Kya tumne Umrah kar liya?' Humne haan mein jawab diya. To Aap ne apne sahaba ke darmiyan wapas jaane ka elaan kiya aur log safar ke liye nikle, aur Nabi bhi Madina ke liye chal pade."
