Hadith text

Narrated Al-Aswad:' Aisha said, We went out with the Prophet (from Medina) with the intention of performing Hajj only and when we reached Mecca we performed Tawaf round the Ka`ba and then the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered those who had not driven the Hadi along with them to finish their Ihram. So the people who had not driven the Hadi along with them finished their Ihram. The Prophet's wives, too, had not driven the Hadi with them, so they too, finished their Ihram." `Aisha added, "I got my menses and could not perform Tawaf round the Ka`ba." So when it was the night of Hasba (i.e. when we stopped at Al-Muhassab), I said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Everyone is returning after performing Hajj and `Umra but I am returning after performing Hajj only.' He said, 'Didn't you perform Tawaf round the Ka`ba the night we reached Mecca?' I replied in the negative. He said, 'Go with your brother to Tan`im and assume the Ihram for `Umra, (and after performing it) come back to such and such a place.' On that Safiya said, 'I feel that I will detain you all.' The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'O 'Aqra Halqa! Didn't you perform Tawaf of the Ka`ba on the day of sacrifice? (i.e. Tawaf-al-ifada) Safiya replied in the affirmative. He said, (to Safiya). 'There is no harm for you to proceed on with us.' " `Aisha added, "(after returning from `Umra), the Prophet (ﷺ) met me while he was ascending (from Mecca) and I was descending to it, or I was ascending and he was descending

Al-Aswad bataate hain: Ayesha ne kaha: "Hum Nabi ke saath (Madina se) sirf Hajj ki niyyat se nikle, aur jab hum Mecca pahunche, humne Ka'ba ka Tawaf kiya, phir Nabi ne un logon ko jo apne saath Hadi nahi laaye the, Ihram khatam karne ka hukum diya. Isliye jo log apne saath Hadi nahi laaye the, unhone Ihram khatam kar diya. Nabi ki biwiyan bhi apne saath Hadi nahi laayi thi, isliye unhone bhi Ihram khatam kar diya." Ayesha ne joda: "Mujhe haiz aa gaya aur main Ka'ba ka Tawaf nahi kar sakti thi. Isliye jab Hasba ki raat aayi (yaani jab hum Al-Muhassab mein rukke), maine kaha: 'Ya Allah ke Rasool! Sab log Hajj-Umrah dono karke wapas ja rahe hain magar main sirf Hajj karke.' Aap ne pucha: 'Kya tumne us raat Ka'ba ka Tawaf nahi kiya jab hum Mecca pahunche the?' Maine na mein jawab diya. Aap ne kaha: 'Apne bhai ke saath Tan'im jaao aur Umrah ka Ihram baandho, (aur usse mukammal karke) falaan jagah wapas aana.' Isspar Safiya ne kaha: 'Mujhe lagta hai main tum sabko rok lungi.' Nabi ne farmaya: 'Aye Aqra Halqa! Kya tumne Yaum-un-Nahr (qurbani ke din) Ka'ba ka Tawaf nahi kiya tha? (yaani Tawaf-al-Ifada)' Safiya ne haan mein jawab diya. Aap ne (Safiya se) kaha: 'To tumhein humare saath jaari rehne mein koi harj nahi.'" Ayesha ne joda: "(Umrah se wapas aane ke baad), Nabi mujhse mile jabke woh (Mecca se) chadh rahe the aur main utar rahi thi, ya main chadh rahi thi aur woh utar rahe the."
