Book 25: Hajj (Pilgrimage) · Hadith 129
Hadith text
Narrated `Asim:I asked Anas bin Malik: "Did you use to dislike to perform Tawaf between Safa and Marwa?" He said, "Yes, as it was of the ceremonies of the days of the Pre-Islamic period of ignorance, till Allah revealed: 'Verily! (The two mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwa are among the symbols of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who performs the pilgrimage to the Ka`ba, or performs `Umra, to perform Tawaf between them
Asim bataate hain: Maine Anas bin Malik se pucha: "Kya aap Safa-Marwa ke beech Tawaf karne ko napasand karte the?" Unhone kaha: "Haan, kyunke yeh jahiliyat ke zamane ki rasmein thi, jab tak Allah ne nazil nahi kiya: 'Beshak, (do pahad) As-Safa aur Al-Marwa Allah ki nishaniyon mein se hain. Isliye jo Ka'ba ka Hajj ya Umrah kare, uske liye unke beech Tawaf karna gunah nahi.'"
