Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:The Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions assumed Ihram for Hajj and none except the Prophet (ﷺ) and Talha had the Hadi (sacrifice) with them. `Ali arrived from Yemen and had a Hadi with him. `Ali said, "I have assumed Ihram for what the Prophet (ﷺ) has done." The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered his companions to perform the `Umra with the Ihram which they had assumed, and after finishing Tawaf (of Ka`ba, Safa and Marwa) to cut short their hair, and to finish their Ihram except those who had Hadi with them. They (the people) said, "How can we proceed to Mina (for Hajj) after having sexual relations with our wives?" When that news reached the Prophet (ﷺ) he said, "If I had formerly known what I came to know lately, I would not have brought the Hadi with me. Had there been no Hadi with me, I would have finished the state of Ihram." `Aisha got her menses, so she performed all the ceremonies of Hajj except Tawaf of the Ka`ba, and when she got clean (from her menses), she performed Tawaf of the Ka`ba. She said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! (All of you) are returning with the Hajj and `Umra, but I am returning after performing Hajj only." So the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered `Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr to accompany her to Tan`im and thus she performed the `Umra after the Hajj

Jabir bin Abdullah (رضی اللہ عنہ) bataate hain: Nabi aur unke sahaba ne Hajj ka Ihram baandha, aur Nabi aur Talha ke ilawa kisi ke paas Hadi (qurbani ka janwar) nahi tha. Ali Yemen se aaye aur unke paas bhi Hadi tha. Ali ne kaha: "Maine wahi niyyat ki jo Nabi ne ki." Nabi ne apne sahaba ko usi Ihram se Umrah karne ka hukum diya jo unhone baandha tha, aur Tawaf (Ka'ba, Safa-Marwa) khatam karke baal chhote karne aur Ihram khatam karne ka, siwaye un logon ke jinke paas Hadi tha. Unhone (logon ne) kaha: "Hum apni biwiyon se humbistari karke Mina (Hajj ke liye) kaise ja sakte hain?" Jab yeh baat Nabi tak pahunchi, unhone farmaya: "Agar mujhe pehle pata hota jo mujhe baad mein pata chala, main apna Hadi apne saath na laata. Agar mere paas Hadi na hota, main apna Ihram khatam kar deta." Ayesha ko haiz aaya, isliye unhone Ka'ba ke Tawaf ke ilawa Hajj ki sab rasmein poori ki, aur jab woh (haiz se) paak ho gayi, Ka'ba ka Tawaf kiya. Unhone kaha: "Ya Allah ke Rasool! (Sab) Hajj-Umrah dono karke wapas ja rahe hain magar main sirf Hajj karke wapas ja rahi hoon." Isliye Nabi ne Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr ko unke saath Tan'im jane ka hukum diya, aur isi tarah unhone Hajj ke baad Umrah kiya.
