Hadith text

Narrated Ibn Juraij:`Ata' said, "I heard Jabir bin `Abdullah saying, 'We never ate the meat of the Budn for more than three days of Mina. Later, the Prophet (ﷺ) gave us permission by saying: 'Eat and take (meat) with you. So we ate (some) and took (some) with us.' " I asked `Ata', "Did Jabir say (that they went on eating the meat) till they reached Medina?" `Ata' replied, "No

Ibn Juraij bataate hain: Ata ne kaha: "Maine Jabir bin Abdullah ko kehte suna: 'Hum Mina ke teen dinon se zyada Budn ka gosht kabhi nahi khate the. Baad mein, Nabi ne humein ijazat di aur kaha: Khao aur (apne saath) le jao.' To humne khaya aur (apne saath) le liya." Maine Ata se pucha: "Kya Jabir ne kaha (ke woh khaate rahe) yahan tak ke Madina pahunche?" Ata ne kaha: "Nahi."
