Hadith text

Narrated `Aisha:Safiya got her menses on the night of Nafr (departure from Hajj), and she said, "I see that I will detain you." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Aqra Halqa! Did she perform the Tawaf on the Day of Nahr (slaughtering)?" Somebody replied in the affirmative. He said, "Then depart." (Different narrators mentioned that) `Aisha said, "We set out with Allah's Apostle (from Medina) with the intention of performing Hajj only. When we reached Mecca, he ordered us to finish the Ihram. When it was the night of Nafr (departure), Safiya bint Huyay got her menses. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Halqa Aqra! I think that she will detain you," and added, "Did you perform the Tawaf (Al-Ifada) on the Day of Nahr (slaughtering)?" She replied, "Yes." He said, "Then depart." I said, "O Allah's Apostle! I have not (done the Umra)." He replied, "Perform `Umra from Tan`im." My brother went with me and we came across the Prophet (ﷺ) in the last part of the night. Ayesha (رضی اللہ عنہا) bataati hain: Safiya ko Nafr ki raat (Hajj se wapasi ki raat) haiz aa gaya, aur unhone kaha: "Mujhe lagta hai main tumhe rok lungi." Nabi ne kaha: "Aqra Halqa! Kya unhone Yaum-un-Nahr ke din Tawaf kiya?" Kisi ne haan mein jawab diya. Aap ne kaha: "To chalo." (Doosre raawiyon ne bataya:) Ayesha ne kaha: "Hum Allah ke Rasool ke saath (Madina se) sirf Hajj ki niyyat se nikle. Jab hum Mecca pahunche, Aap ne humein Ihram khatam karne ka hukum diya. Jab Nafr ki raat aayi, Safiya bint Huyai ko haiz aa gaya. Nabi ne kaha: 'Halqa Aqra! Mujhe lagta hai woh tumhe rok legi,' aur joda: 'Kya tumne Yaum-un-Nahr ke din Tawaf (Al-Ifada) kiya?' Unhone jawab diya: 'Haan.' Aap ne kaha: 'To chalo.' Maine kaha: 'Ya Allah ke Rasool! Maine (Umrah) nahi kiya.' Aap ne jawab diya: 'Tan'im se Umrah karo.' Mera bhai mere saath gaya aur hum raat ke aakhri hisse mein Nabi se mile. Aap ne kaha: 'Falaan jagah intezar karo.'"
