Hadith text

Narrated Mujahid:Urwa bin Az-Zubair and I entered the Mosque (of the Prophet) and saw `Abdullah bin `Umar sitting near the dwelling place of Aisha and some people were offering the Duha prayer. We asked him about their prayer and he replied that it was a heresy. He (Urwa) then asked him how many times the Prophet (ﷺ) had performed `Umra. He replied, 'Four times; one of them was in the month of Rajab." We disliked to contradict him. Then we heard `Aisha, the Mother of faithful believers cleaning her teeth with Siwak in the dwelling place. 'Urwa said, "O Mother! O Mother of the believers! Don't you hear what Abu `Abdur Rahman is saying?" She said, "What does he say?" 'Urwa said, "He says that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) performed four `Umra and one of them was in the month of Rajab." `Aisha said, "May Allah be merciful to Abu `Abdur Rahman! The Prophet (ﷺ) did not perform any `Umra except that he was with him, and he never performed any `Umra in Rajab

Mujahid bataate hain: Main aur Urwa bin Az-Zubair (Nabi ki) masjid mein daakhil hue aur dekha Abdullah bin Umar Ayesha ke rehne ki jagah ke qareeb baithe hain, aur kuch log Duha ki namaz padh rahe the. Humne unse unki namaz ke baare mein pucha aur unhone jawab diya ke yeh bid'at (naya riwaaj) hai. Phir unhone (Urwa ne) unse pucha Nabi ne kitni baar Umrah kiya. Unhone jawab diya: "Chaar baar; ek Rajab ke mahine mein." Humein unse ikhtilaaf karna napasand aaya. Phir humne Ayesha, Ummul-Momineen, ko unke rehne ki jagah mein Siwak se daant saaf karte suna. Urwa ne kaha: "Aye Um! Aye Ummul-Momineen! Kya aap sun rahi hain Abu Abdur Rahman kya keh rahe hain?" Unhone pucha: "Woh kya kehte hain?" Urwa ne kaha: "Woh kehte hain ke Allah ke Rasool ne chaar Umrah kiye aur unme se ek Rajab ke mahine mein tha." Ayesha ne kaha: "Allah Abu Abdur Rahman par reham kare! Nabi ne koi Umrah nahi kiya siwaye us waqt jab woh khud unke saath the, aur Aap ne kabhi Rajab ke mahine mein Umrah nahi kiya."
