Hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لِلْوَزَغِ " فُوَيْسِقٌ ". وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهِ.
Narrated `Aisha the wife of the Prophet:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) called the salamander a bad animal, but I did not hear him ordering it to be killed
Ayesha, Nabi ki biwi, bataati hain: Allah ke Rasool ne salamander (chhipkali jaisa janwar) ko bura janwar kaha, magar maine unhe ise maarne ka hukum dete nahi suna.
