Hadith text
Narrated Ibn `Abbas:"The Prophet (ﷺ) said, 'Allah has made Mecca, a sanctuary, so it was a sanctuary before me and will continue to be a sanctuary after me. It was made legal for me (i.e. I was allowed to fight in it) for a few hours of a day. It is not allowed to uproot its shrubs or to cut its trees, or to chase (or disturb) its game, or to pick up its luqata (fallen things) except by a person who would announce that (what he has found) publicly.' Al-`Abbas said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Except Al-Idhkhir (a kind of grass) (for it is used) by our goldsmiths and for our graves.' The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, 'Except Al-Idhkhir.' " `Ikrima said, 'Do you know what "chasing or disturbing" the game means? It means driving it out of the shade to occupy its place
Ibn Abbas (رضی اللہ عنہما) bataate hain: Nabi ne farmaya: "Allah ne Mecca ko haram banaya, isliye yeh mujhse pehle bhi haram tha aur mere baad bhi haram rahega. Yeh mere liye ek din ke kuch ghanton ke liye halal ki gayi (yaani mujhe usme jung karne ki ijazat mili). Isse kaante wali jhaadiyan ukhadna, darakht kaatna, iske shikaar ka picha karna, ya iski giri hui cheezein (luqata) uṭhaana jaiz nahi, siwaye us shaks ke jo isse aam elaan kare." Al-Abbas ne kaha: "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Siwaye Al-Idhkhir ke (kyunke woh humare sunaron aur humari qabron ke liye istemal hota hai)." Nabi ne phir kaha: "Siwaye Al-Idhkhir ke." Ikrima ne kaha: "Kya tumhe pata hai 'shikaar ka picha karna' ka kya matlab hai? Iska matlab hai use saaye se bahar nikaal kar uski jagah lena."
