Hadith text

Narrated Ibn `Umar:Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Amongst the trees, there is a tree, the leaves of which do not fall and is like a Muslim. Tell me the name of that tree." Everybody started thinking about the trees of the desert areas. And I thought of the date-palm tree but felt shy to answer the others then asked, "What is that tree, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ?" He replied, "It is the date-palm tree

Ibn Umar (رضی اللہ عنہما) se riwayat hai ke Allah ke Rasool (ﷺ) ne farmaya: "Darakhton mein ek aisa darakht hai jiske patte nahi girte, aur woh Musalman ki tarah hai — mujhe batao uska naam." Sab log sehra ke darakhton ke baare mein sochne lage. Mujhe khajoor ka darakht khyal aaya magar sharm ki wajah se bol na saka. Phir logon ne pucha: "Ya Rasoolallah, woh kaun sa darakht hai?" Aap ne farmaya: "Woh khajoor ka darakht hai."
