Sahih al-Bukhari 2124

Hadith text

Narrated Nafi`:Ibn `Umar told us that the people used to buy food from the caravans in the lifetime of the Prophet. The Prophet (ﷺ) used to forbid them to sell it at the very place where they had purchased it (but they were to wait) till they carried it to the market where foodstuff was sold. Ibn `Umar said, 'The Prophet (ﷺ) also forbade the reselling of foodstuff by somebody who had bought it unless he had received it with exact full measure

Nafi bataate hain: Ibn Umar ne humein bataya ke log Nabi ke zamane mein qafilon se khaana khareedte the. Nabi unhe usi jagah bechne se rokte the jahan unhone khareeda tha (magar unhe intezar karna padta) jab tak woh use us bazaar tak nahi le jaate jahan khaane ki cheezein bechi jaati hain. Ibn Umar ne kaha: "Nabi ne khaane ki cheezein doosre ko bechne se bhi mana kiya jisne khareedi ho jab tak uski poori naap na le li ho."
