Hadith text
Narrated Ibn Shihab:If somebody bought fruits before their benefit is evident and then the fruits were spoiled with blights, the loss would be suffered by the owner (not the buyer). Narrated Salim bin 'Abdullah from Ibn Umar: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Do not sell or buy fruits before their benefit was evident and do not sell fresh fruits (dates) for dried dates
Ibn Shihab bataate hain: Agar koi phal unki khoobi zaahir hone se pehle khareedtaa hai aur phir woh bimari se barbaad ho jaate hain, nuqsaan maalik (bechne wale) ka hoga (khareedar ka nahi). Salim bin Abdullah, Ibn Umar ke hawale se: Allah ke Rasool ne farmaya: "Phalon ko unki khoobi zaahir hone se pehle mat becho ya khareedo, aur taazi phal (khajoor) ko sookhi khajoor se mat becho."
