Sahih al-Bukhari 2352

Hadith text

Narrated Az-Zuhri:Anas bin Malik said, that once a domestic sheep was milked for Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while he was in the house of Anas bin Malik. The milk was mixed with water drawn from the well in Anas's house. A tumbler of it was presented to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) who drank from it. Then Abu Bakr was sitting on his left side and a bedouin on his right side. When the Prophet (ﷺ) removed the tumbler from his mouth, `Umar was afraid that the Prophet (ﷺ) might give it to the bedouin, so he said. "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Give it to Abu Bakr who is sitting by your side." But the Prophet (ﷺ) gave it to the bedouin, who was to his right and said, "You should start with the one on your right side

Az-Zuhri bataate hain: Anas bin Malik ne kaha ke ek baar Allah ke Rasool ke liye ek gharelu bhed ka doodh nikala gaya jabke Aap Anas bin Malik ke ghar mein the. Doodh Anas ke ghar ke kue se nikale gaye paani mein milaya gaya. Ek pyala Allah ke Rasool ko pesh kiya gaya jisme se unhone piya. Phir Abu Bakr unki baayi taraf baithe the aur ek dehati (Bedouin) unki dahini taraf. Jab Nabi ne pyala apne mun se hataya, Umar ko dar tha ke Nabi use dehati ko de denge, isliye unhone kaha: "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Ise Abu Bakr ko dijiye jo aapke bagal mein baithe hain." Magar Nabi ne ise dehati ko de diya, jo unki dahini taraf tha, aur kaha: "Tumhe apni dahini taraf se shuru karna chahiye."
