Hadith text
Narrated Muhammad bin `Ali:Jabir bin `Abdullah said, "When the Prophet (ﷺ) died, Abu Bakr received some property from Al-`Ala bin Al-Hadrami. Abu Bakr said to the people, "Whoever has a money claim on the Prophet, or was promised something by him, should come to us (so that we may pay him his right)." Jabir added, "I said (to Abu Bakr), Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) promised me that he would give me this much, and this much, and this much (spreading his hands three times)." Jabir added, "Abu Bakr counted for me and handed me five-hundred (gold pieces), and then five-hundred, and then five-hundred
Muhammad bin Ali bataate hain: Jabir bin Abdullah ne kaha: "Jab Nabi ka intiqal hua, Abu Bakr ko Al-Ala bin Al-Hadrami se kuch jaidad mili. Abu Bakr ne logon se kaha, 'Jiska bhi Nabi par koi paisa ka daava hai, ya jise unhone kuch dene ka waada kiya tha, humare paas aaye (taake hum use uska haqq de sakein).'" Jabir ne joda: "Maine (Abu Bakr se) kaha, Allah ke Rasool ne mujhse itna, itna, aur itna dene ka waada kiya tha (apne haathon ko teen baar phailate huye)." Jabir ne joda: "Abu Bakr ne mere liye gina aur mujhe paanch sau (sone ke sikke) diye, phir paanch sau, phir paanch sau."
