Hadith text

Narrated Ibn `Umar:When the people of Khaibar dislocated `Abdullah bin `Umar's hands and feet, `Umar got up delivering a sermon saying, "No doubt, Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) made a contract with the Jews concerning their properties, and said to them, 'We allow you (to stand in your land) as long as Allah allows you.' Now `Abdullah bin `Umar went to his land and was attacked at night, and his hands and feet were dislocated, and as we have no enemies there except those Jews, they are our enemies and the only people whom we suspect, I have made up my mind to exile them." When `Umar decided to carry out his decision, a son of Abu Al-Huqaiq's came and addressed `Umar, "O chief of the believers, will you exile us although Muhammad allowed us to stay at our places, and made a contract with us about our properties, and accepted the condition of our residence in our land?" `Umar said, "Do you think that I have forgotten the statement of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), i.e.: What will your condition be when you are expelled from Khaibar and your camel will be carrying you night after night?" The Jew replied, "That was a joke from Abul-Qasim." `Umar said, "O the enemy of Allah! You are telling a lie." `Umar then drove them out and paid them the price of their properties in the form of fruits, money, camel saddles and ropes, etc

Ibn Umar bataate hain: Jab Khaibar walon ne Abdullah bin Umar ke haath-paon tode, Umar khade hue aur khutba dete huye kaha: "Beshak, Allah ke Rasool ne Yahudiyon ke saath unki jaidad ke baare mein ek muahida kiya tha, aur unse kaha: 'Hum tumhe (apni zameen mein) tab tak rehne denge jab tak Allah tumhe rehne de.' Ab Abdullah bin Umar apni zameen gaye aur raat ko hamla hua, aur unke haath-paon tode gaye, aur wahan Yahudiyon ke siwa humara koi dushman nahi, isliye woh humare dushman hain aur humein unpar hi shak hai. Maine faisla kar liya hai ke main unhe jila-vatan kar dunga." Jab Umar ne apna faisla amal mein laana chaha, Abu Al-Huqaiq ka ek beta aaya aur Umar se kaha: "Aye Momino ke Ameer! Kya aap humein jila-vatan karenge jabke Muhammad ne humein apni jagahon par rehne diya aur humari jaidad ke baare mein muahida kiya, aur humare zameen mein rehne ki shart qubool ki?" Umar ne kaha: "Kya tumhe lagta hai maine Allah ke Rasool ki baat bhula di hai: 'Tumhara haal kya hoga jab tumhe Khaibar se nikala jaayega aur tumhare unt tumhe raat-ba-raat le jaayenge?'" Yahudi ne jawab diya: "Yeh to Abul-Qasim (Nabi) ka mazak tha." Umar ne kaha: "Aye Allah ke dushman! Tum jhoot bol rahe ho." Phir Umar ne unhe nikal diya aur unki jaidad ki qeemat unhe phal, paisa, unt ke saddle aur rassiyon ke tor par de di.
