Hadith text

Narrated Al-Bara:When the Divine Inspiration: "Those of the believers who sit (at home), was revealed the Prophet (ﷺ) sent for Zaid (bin Thabit) who came with a shoulder-blade and wrote on it. Ibn Um-Maktum complained about his blindness and on that the following revelation came: "Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) except those who are disabled (by injury, or are blind or lame etc.) and those who strive hard and fight in the Way of Allah with their wealth and lives

Al-Bara bataate hain: Jab Divine Ayat nazil hui: "Woh momin jo (ghar par) baithe rehte hain..." Nabi ne Zaid (bin Thabit) ko bulwaya jo ek kandhe ki haddi laaye aur uspar likha. Ibn Um-Maktum ne apni andhaapan ki shikayat ki, aur isspar yeh wahi nazil hui: "Barabar nahi hain woh momin jo (ghar par) baithe rehte hain, siwaye un ke jo asakt hain (chot ki wajah se, ya andhe ya langde hain) aur woh jo Allah ki raah mein apni jaan-maal se koshish karte hain."
