Hadith text

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:When the Prophet (ﷺ) called the people (Sadaqa, a sub-narrator, said, 'Most likely that happened on the day of Al-Khandaq) Az-Zubair responded to the call (i.e. to act as a scout). The Prophet) called the people again and Az-Zubair responded to the call. The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, "Every prophet had a disciple and my disciple is Zubair bin Al-`Awwam

Jabir bin Abdullah bataate hain: Jab Nabi ne logon ko bulaya (Sadaqa, doosre raawi ne kaha, 'Yeh Al-Khandaq ke din hua hoga'), Az-Zubair ne pukaar ka jawab diya (yaani jaasoosi karne ke liye). Nabi ne phir logon ko bulaya aur Az-Zubair ne phir jawab diya. Nabi ne phir kaha: "Har Nabi ka ek shagird hota hai, aur mera shagird Zubair bin Al-Awwam hai."
