Hadith text

Narrated Anas:On the day (of the battle) of Uhud when (some) people retreated and left the Prophet, I saw `Aisha bint Abu Bakr and Um Sulaim, with their robes tucked up so that the bangles around their ankles were visible hurrying with their water skins (in another narration it is said, "carrying the water skins on their backs"). Then they would pour the water in the mouths of the people, and return to fill the water skins again and come back again to pour water in the mouths of the people

Anas bataate hain: Uhud ki jung ke din jab kuch log peeche hate aur Nabi ko chhod diya, maine Ayesha bint Abu Bakr aur Um Sulaim ko dekha, unke kapde samete hue taake unki taangon ke kangan dikh rahe hon, apni mashken lekar daudte huye (ek doosri riwaayat mein hai, "mashken apni pushton par uthate huye"). Phir woh logon ke mun mein paani daalti aur wapas jaakar mashken bharne ke liye jati aur phir wapas aakar logon ke mun mein paani daalti.
