Book 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) · Hadith 148

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ، دَخَلُوا عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالُوا السَّامُ عَلَيْكَ‏.‏ فَلَعَنْتُهُمْ‏.‏ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ مَا لَكِ ‏"‏‏.‏ قُلْتُ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ مَا قَالُوا قَالَ ‏"‏ فَلَمْ تَسْمَعِي مَا قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكُمْ ‏"‏‏.‏

Narrated `Aisha:Once the Jews came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "Death be upon you." So I cursed them. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "What is the matter?" I said, "Have you not heard what they said?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Have you not heard what I replied (to them)? (I said), ('The same is upon you)

Ayesha bataati hain: Ek baar Yahudi Nabi ke paas aaye aur kaha, "Tumpar maut ho." Isliye maine unhe bad-dua di. Nabi ne kaha, "Kya baat hai?" Maine kaha, "Kya aapne nahi suna unhone kya kaha?" Nabi ne kaha, "Kya tumne nahi suna maine unhe kya jawab diya? (Maine kaha), 'Yehi tumpar bhi ho.'"
