Book 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) · Hadith 158

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ "‏ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ‏.‏ فَمَنْ قَالَ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ، فَقَدْ عَصَمَ مِنِّي نَفْسَهُ وَمَالَهُ، إِلاَّ بِحَقِّهِ، وَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ ‏"‏‏.‏ رَوَاهُ عُمَرُ وَابْنُ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏

Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Apostle said, " I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,' and whoever says, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,' his life and property will be saved by me except for Islamic law, and his accounts will be with Allah, (either to punish him or to forgive him)

Abu Huraira bataate hain: Allah ke Rasool ne kaha, "Mujhe hukum diya gaya hai ke main logon se jung karun jab tak woh na kahen, 'Allah ke siwa koi mabood nahi,' aur jo bhi kahe, 'Allah ke siwa koi mabood nahi,' uski jaan aur maal mere zariye mahfooz honge siwaye Islami qanoon ke tehat, aur uska hisaab Allah ke paas hoga, (ya to use saza dene ke liye ya maaf karne ke liye)."
