Book 56: Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihaad) · Hadith 168
Hadith text
Narrated Abu Huraira:That he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "We are the last but will be the foremost to enter Paradise)." The Prophet added, "He who obeys me, obeys Allah, and he who disobeys me, disobeys Allah. He who obeys the chief, obeys me, and he who disobeys the chief, disobeys me. The Imam is like a shelter for whose safety the Muslims should fight and where they should seek protection. If the Imam orders people with righteousness and rules justly, then he will be rewarded for that, and if he does the opposite, he will be responsible for that
Abu Huraira bataate hain: Unhone Allah ke Rasool ko kehte suna, "Hum sabse aakhri hain magar Jannat mein daakhil hone mein sabse aage honge." Nabi ne joda, "Jo mujhe maanta hai, woh Allah ko maanta hai, aur jo meri na-farmani karta hai, woh Allah ki na-farmani karta hai. Jo sardaar ko maanta hai, woh mujhe maanta hai, aur jo sardaar ki na-farmani karta hai, woh meri na-farmani karta hai. Imam ek panah jaisa hai jiski surakshaa ke liye Musalmanon ko jung karni chahiye aur jahan unhe surakshaa dhoondni chahiye. Agar Imam neki ka hukum de aur insaaf se hukumat kare, use uska ajr milega, aur agar woh iska ulta kare, woh iske liye zimmedaar hoga."
