Sahih al-Bukhari 2961

Hadith text

Narrated Anas:On the day (of the battle) of the Trench, the Ansar were saying, "We are those who have sworn allegiance to Muhammad for Jihad (for ever) as long as we live." The Prophet (ﷺ) replied to them, "O Allah! There is no life except the life of the Hereafter. So honor the Ansar and emigrants with Your Generosity

Anas bataate hain: Khandaq ki jung ke din, Ansaar keh rahe the, "Hum woh log hain jinhone Muhammad se Jihad (hamesha ke liye) ki bai'at ki hai jab tak hum zinda hain." Nabi ne unhe jawab diya, "Aye Allah! Aakhirat ki zindagi ke siwa koi zindagi nahi. Isliye Ansaar aur Muhajireen ko apni faragdil (bakhshish) se sammaanit kar."
