Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:On the day of the battle of the Trench, the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted somebody from amongst the people to volunteer to be a reconnoitre. Az-Zubair volunteered. He demanded the same again and Az-Zubair volunteered again. Then he repeated the same demand (thrice) and Az-Zubair volunteered once more. The Prophet (ﷺ) then said, " Every prophet has a disciple and my disciple is Az-Zubair
Jabir bin Abdullah bataate hain: Khandaq ki jung ke din, Nabi chahte the ke koi logon mein se jaasoosi ke liye aage aaye. Az-Zubair ne aage aakar khud ko pesh kiya. Unhone yehi maang dobara ki aur Az-Zubair phir aage aaye. Phir unhone teesri baar wahi maang dohraee aur Az-Zubair ek baar phir aage aaye. Isspar Nabi ne kaha, "Har Nabi ka ek shagird hota hai, aur mera shagird Az-Zubair hai."
