Hadith text
Narrated As-Sab bin Jaththama:The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by me at a place called Al-Abwa or Waddan, and was asked whether it was permissible to attack the pagan warriors at night with the probability of exposing their women and children to danger. As-Sab bin Jaththama bataate hain: Nabi mere paas se guzre ek jagah jise Al-Abwa ya Waddan kaha jata hai, aur unse pucha gaya kya raat ko mushrik jungjuon par hamla karna jaiz hai jabke unki aurton aur bachchon ko khatre mein daalne ki sambhavna ho. Nabi ne jawab diya, "Woh (yaani aurten aur bachche) unhi (yaani mushrikon) mein se hain." Maine Nabi ko yeh bhi kehte suna, "Hima (khaas charagaah ka riwaj) sirf Allah aur uske Rasool ke liye jaiz hai."
