Sahih al-Bukhari 3058

Hadith text

Narrated Usama bin Zaid:I asked the Prophet (ﷺ) during his Hajj, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Where will you stay tomorrow?" He said, "Has `Aqil left for us any house?" He then added, "Tomorrow we will stay at Khaif Bani Kinana, i.e. Al-Muhassab, where (the Pagans of) Quraish took an oath of Kufr (i.e. to be loyal to heathenism) in that Bani Kinana got allied with Quraish against Bani Hashim on the terms that they would not deal with the members of this tribe or give them shelter." Usama bin Zaid bataate hain: Maine Nabi se unke Hajj ke dauran pucha, "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Aap kal kahaan rukenge?" Unhone kaha, "Kya Aqil ne humare liye koi ghar chhoda hai?" Phir unhone joda, "Kal hum Khaif Bani Kinana mein rukenge, yaani Al-Muhassab, jahaan (Quraish ke mushrikon ne) Kufr ki qasam khaee thi (yaani but-parasti se wafadaar rehne ki), jismein Bani Kinana Quraish ke saath jude the Bani Hashim ke khilaf is shart par ke woh is qabile ke logon se koi len-den ya panah nahi denge."
