Book 57: One-fifth of Booty to the Cause of Allah (Khumus) · Hadith 57

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه قَالَ كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَيْهِ بُرْدٌ نَجْرَانِيٌّ غَلِيظُ الْحَاشِيَةِ، فَأَدْرَكَهُ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَجَذَبَهُ جَذْبَةً شَدِيدَةً، حَتَّى نَظَرْتُ إِلَى صَفْحَةِ عَاتِقِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ أَثَّرَتْ بِهِ حَاشِيَةُ الرِّدَاءِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ جَذْبَتِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ مُرْ لِي مِنْ مَالِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي عِنْدَكَ‏.‏ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ، فَضَحِكَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ لَهُ بِعَطَاءٍ‏.‏

Narrated Anas bin Malik:While I was walking with the Prophet (ﷺ) who was wearing a Najrani outer garment with a thick hem, a bedouin came upon the Prophet (ﷺ) and pulled his garment so violently that I could recognize the impress of the hem of the garment on his shoulder, caused by the violence of his pull. Then the bedouin said, "Order for me something from Allah's Fortune which you have." The Prophet (ﷺ) turned to him and smiled, and ordered that a gift be given to him

Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Jabke main Nabi ke saath chal raha tha, jinhone ek Najrani bahar ka libaas pahna hua tha jiska kinaara mota tha, ek dehati Nabi ke paas aaya aur unka libaas itni sakhti se khincha ke main unke kandhe par kinaare ka nishaan dekh sakta tha, jo uske jor se khinchne ki wajah se bana tha. Phir dehati ne kaha, "Allah ki daulat mein se jo aapke paas hai, mere liye kuch dene ka hukum dijiye." Nabi unki taraf mude aur muskurate huye unhe kuch dene ka hukum diya.
