Hadith text

Narrated Imran bin Husain: I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and tied my she-camel at the gate. The people of Bani Tamim came to the Prophet (ﷺ) who said "O Bani Tamim! Accept the good tidings." They said twice, 'You have given us the good tidings, now give us something" Then some Yemenites came to him and he said, "Accept the good tidings, O people of Yemen, for Bani Tamim refused them." They said, "We accept it, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We have come to ask you about this matter (i.e. the start of creations)." He said, "First of all, there was nothing but Allah, and (then He created His Throne). His throne was over the water, and He wrote everything in the Book (in the Heaven) and created the Heavens and the Earth." Then a man shouted, "O Ibn Husain! Your she-camel has gone away!" So, I went away and could not see the she-camel because of the mirage. By Allah, I wished I had left that she-camel (but not that gathering)

Imran bin Husain bataate hain: Main Nabi ke paas gaya aur apni untni darwaze par baandhi. Bani Tamim qabile ke log Nabi ke paas aaye jinhone kaha "Aye Bani Tamim! Achhi khabar qubool karo." Unhone do baar kaha, "Aapne humein achhi khabar di hai, ab humein kuch dijiye." Phir kuch Yemen ke log unke paas aaye aur unhone kaha, "Achhi khabar qubool karo, Aye Yemen ke logo, kyunke Bani Tamim ne use radd kiya." Unhone kaha, "Hum ise qubool karte hain, Ya Allah ke Rasool! Hum aapse is baat ke baare mein pucchne aaye hain (yaani srishti ki shuruaat)." Unhone kaha, "Sabse pahle, Allah ke siwa kuch nahi tha, (phir usne apna Arsh banaya). Uska Arsh paani ke oopar tha, aur usne har cheez ek Kitaab (yaani aasman mein) mein likh di aur aasmanon aur zameen ko banaya." Phir ek shaks chillaya, "Aye Ibn Husain! Tumhari untni chali gaee hai!" Isliye main chala gaya aur mirage (dhundli hui hawa) ki wajah se untni na dekh saka. Allah ki qasam, kaash maine woh untni chhod diya hota (magar us jama'at ko nahi).
