Hadith text
Narrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab:`Umar came to the Mosque while Hassan was reciting a poem. (`Umar disapproved of that). On that Hassan said, "I used to recite poetry in this very Mosque in the presence of one (i.e. the Prophet (ﷺ) ) who was better than you." Then he turned towards Abu Huraira and said (to him), "I ask you by Allah, did you hear Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying (to me), "Retort on my behalf. O Allah! Support him (i.e. Hassan) with the Holy Spirit?" Abu Huraira said, "Yes
Sa'id bin Al-Musaiyab bataate hain: Umar masjid mein aaye jabke Hassan ek kavita padh rahe the. (Umar ko yeh napasand aaya). Isspar Hassan ne kaha, "Main isi masjid mein kavita padhta tha ek aise shaks (yaani Nabi) ki maujoodgi mein jo aapse behtar the." Phir woh Abu Huraira ki taraf mude aur (unse) kaha, "Main aapko Allah ki qasam dekar poochta hoon, kya aapne Allah ke Rasool ko (mujhse) kehte suna, 'Mere taraf se jawab do. Aye Allah! Ise (yaani Hassan ko) Ruh-ul-Qudus (yaani Paak Rooh, Jibreel) se madad de'?" Abu Huraira ne kaha, "Haan."
