Sahih al-Bukhari 3437

Hadith text

Narrated Hisham:From Ma`mar as below. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "I met Moses on the night of my Ascension to heaven." The Prophet (ﷺ) then described him saying, as I think, "He was a tall person with lank hair as if he belonged to the people of the tribe of Shanuah.' The Prophet (ﷺ) further said, "I met Jesus." The Prophet (ﷺ) described him saying, "He was one of moderate height and was red-faced as if he had just come out of a bathroom. I saw Abraham whom I resembled more than any of his children did." The Prophet (ﷺ) further said, "(That night) I was given two cups; one full of milk and the other full of wine. I was asked to take either of them which I liked, and I took the milk and drank it. On that it was said to me, 'You have taken the right path (religion). If you had taken the wine, your (Muslim) nation would have gone astray

Abu Huraira bataate hain: Nabi ne kaha, "Meri aasman ki chadhaee ki raat mujhe Musa se mulaqaat hui." Nabi ne phir unhe varnan karte huye kaha, mujhe lagta hai, "Woh ek lambe, seedhe baal wale shaks the, mano woh Shanua qabile ke logon mein se the." Nabi ne aage kaha, "Meri mulaqaat Isa se bhi hui." Nabi ne unhe varnan karte huye kaha, "Woh madhyam kad aur laal chehre wale the, mano woh gusal se abhi bahar aaye hon. Maine Ibrahim ko dekha jinse main unki apni santaan se zyada milta-julta hoon." Nabi ne aage kaha, "(Us raat) mujhe do pyale diye gaye; ek doodh se bhara aur doosra sharab se bhara. Mujhe jo pasand ho lene ko kaha gaya, aur maine doodh liya aur piya. Isspar mujhse kaha gaya, 'Tumne sahi raasta (deen) chuna. Agar tum sharab lete, tumhari (Musalman) ummat bhatak jaati.'"
