Sahih al-Bukhari 3454

Hadith text

Narrated `Aisha and Ibn `Abbas:On his death-bed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) put a sheet over his-face and when he felt hot, he would remove it from his face. When in that state (of putting and removing the sheet) he said, "May Allah's Curse be on the Jews and the Christians for they build places of worship at the graves of their prophets." (By that) he intended to warn (the Muslim) from what they (i.e. Jews and Christians) had done

Ayesha aur Ibn Abbas bataate hain: Apni maut ke bistar par, Allah ke Rasool ne apne chehre par ek chaadar rakhi, aur jab unhe garmi mahsoos hoti, woh use apne chehre se hatate. Jab woh is haalat mein the (chaadar rakhte aur hatate huye), unhone kaha, "Allah ki laanat ho Yahudiyon aur Isaeeyon par, kyunke unhone apne Nabiyon ki qabron par ibadat ki jagahen banaee." (Isse) unka maqsad (Musalmanon ko) uske baare mein chetana tha jo unhone kiya.
