Hadith text

Narrated `Aisha:(the wife of the Prophet) I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about the plague. He told me that it was a Punishment sent by Allah on whom He wished, and Allah made it a source of mercy for the believers, for if one in the time of an epidemic plague stays in his country patiently hoping for Allah's Reward and believing that nothing will befall him except what Allah has written for him, he will get the reward of a martyr

Ayesha bataati hain: Maine Allah ke Rasool se talaee ke baare mein pucha. Unhone bataya ke yeh Allah ki taraf se ek saza thi jo usne jispar chaahe bhejta hai, aur Allah ne ise mominon ke liye ek rehmat ka zariya banaya, kyunke agar koi mahamari ke dauran apni zameen mein sabr se, Allah ke ajr ki ummeed rakhte huye, aur yeh vishwas rakhte huye ke uske saath sirf wahi hoga jo Allah ne uske liye likha hai, rehta hai, use ek shaheed jitna ajr milega.
