Narrated Tawus:Ibn `Abbas recited the Qur'anic Verse:--'Except to be kind to me for my kin-ship to you--" (42.23) Sa`id bin Jubair said, "(The Verse implies) the kinship of Muhammad." Ibn `Abbas said, "There was not a single house (i.e. sub-tribe) of Quraish but had a kinship to the Prophet (ﷺ) and so the above Verse was revealed in this connection, and its interpretation is: 'O Quraish! Tawus bataate hain: Ibn Abbas ne yeh Quranic Ayat padhi: "Siwaaye is ke ke mere rishte ke prati narmi rakho..." (42:23) Sa'id bin Jubair ne kaha, "(Is Ayat ka matlab hai) Muhammad ke saath rishta." Ibn Abbas ne kaha, "Quraish ka koi bhi ghar (yaani upa-qabila) aisa nahi tha jiska Nabi se koi rishta na ho, aur isliye yeh Ayat isi sandarbh mein nazil hui, aur iska matlab hai: 'Aye Quraish! Tumhe mere (yaani Muhammad ke) aur apne beech achhe sambandh rakhne chahiye.'"
