Hadith text

Narrated Abu Bakra:Al-Aqra' bin Habis said to the Prophet (ﷺ) "Nobody gave you the pledge of allegiance but the robbers of the pilgrims (i.e. those who used to rob the pilgrims) from the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina." (Ibn Abi Ya'qub is in doubt whether Al-Aqra' added. 'And Juhaina.') The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Don't you think that the tribes of Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina (and also perhaps) Juhaina are better than the tribes of Bani Tamim, Bani Amir, Asad, and Ghatafan?" Somebody said, "They were unsuccessful and losers!" The Prophet said, "Yes, by Him in Whose Hands my life is, they (i.e. the former) are better than they (i.e. the latter)

Abu Bakra bataate hain: Al-Aqra bin Habis ne Nabi se kaha, "Aapko sirf Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina qabilon ke Hajiyon ko lootne walon ne bai'at di hai." (Ibn Abi Ya'qub, doosre raawi ko shak hai kya Al-Aqra ne \"aur Juhaina\" joda tha.) Nabi ne kaha, "Kya tumhe nahi lagta ke Aslam, Ghifar, Muzaina (aur shaayad) Juhaina qabile Bani Tamim, Bani Amir, Asad, aur Ghatafan qabilon se behtar hain?" Kisi ne kaha, "Woh na-kaamyaab aur hare hue the!" Nabi ne kaha, "Haan, us Zaat ki qasam jiske haathon mein meri zindagi hai, woh (yaani pahle wale) un (yaani baad walon) se behtar hain."
