Narrated Salim bin Abi Aj-Jad:Jabir bin `Abdullah said, "The people became very thirsty on the day of Al-Hudaibiya (Treaty). A small pot containing some water was in front of the Prophet (ﷺ) and when he had finished the ablution, the people rushed towards him. He asked, 'What is wrong with you?' They replied, 'We have no water either for performing ablution or for drinking except what is present in front of you.' Salim bin Abi Aj-Jad bataate hain: Jabir bin Abdullah ne kaha, "Log Al-Hudaibiya ke din bahut pyaase ho gaye. Ek chhota bartan jismein kuch paani tha, Nabi ke saamne tha, aur jab unhone wudu khatam kiya, log unki taraf daude. Unhone pucha, 'Kya baat hai?' Unhone jawab diya, 'Humare paas na wudu ke liye na pine ke liye koi paani hai siwaye jo aapke saamne hai.' Isliye unhone apna haath us bartan mein rakha aur paani unki ungliyon ke beech se sroton ki tarah behne laga. Hum sabne (usi se) piya aur wudu kiya." Maine Jabir se pucha, "Tum log kitne the?" Unhone jawab diya, "Chahe hum ek lakh hote, yeh humare liye kaafi hota, magar hum paanch sau pandra sau the."
