Book 61: Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions · Hadith 94
Hadith text
Narrated Anas bin Malik:That he heard Jabir bin `Abdullah saying, "The roof of the Mosque was built over trunks of datepalms working as pillars. When the Prophet (ﷺ) delivered a sermon, he used to stand by one of those trunks till the pulpit was made for him, and he used it instead. Then we heard the trunk sending a sound like of a pregnant she-camel till the Prophet (ﷺ) came to it, and put his hand over it, then it became quiet
Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Unhone Jabir bin Abdullah ko kehte suna, "Masjid ki chhat khajoor ke tanon par banaee gaee thi jo khambon ka kaam karte the. Jab Nabi khutba dete, woh un tanon mein se ek ke bagal khade hote the jab tak unke liye mimbar banaya gaya, aur unhone uska istemal shuru kiya. Phir humne tane ko ek garbhvati untni jaisa aawaaz karte suna jab tak Nabi uske paas aaye aur apna haath uspar rakha, phir woh shaant ho gaya."
