Book 61: Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions · Hadith 112

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأُمَوِيُّ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ مَرْوَانَ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الصَّادِقَ الْمَصْدُوقَ، يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ هَلاَكُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى يَدَىْ غِلْمَةٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ‏"‏‏.‏ فَقَالَ مَرْوَانُ غِلْمَةٌ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَنْ أُسَمِّيَهُمْ بَنِي فُلاَنٍ وَبَنِي فُلاَنٍ‏.‏

Narrated Sa`id Al-Umawi:I was with Marwan and Abu Huraira and heard Abu Huraira saying, "I heard the trustworthy, truly inspired one (i.e. the Prophet (ﷺ) ) saying, 'The destruction of my followers will be brought about by the hands of some youngsters from Quraish." Marwan asked, "Youngsters?" Abu Huraira said, "If you wish, I would name them: They are the children of so-and-so and the children of so-and-so

Sa'id Al-Umawi bataate hain: Main Marwan aur Abu Huraira ke saath tha aur maine Abu Huraira ko kehte suna, "Maine wafadaar, sachche ilham paane wale (yaani Nabi) ko kehte suna, 'Mere pairokaron ka vinaash Quraish ke kuch jawan logon ke haathon hoga.'" Marwan ne pucha, "Jawan?" Abu Huraira ne kaha, "Agar tum chaho, main unke naam batata hoon: Woh falaan-falaan ke bachche hain aur falaan-falaan ke bachche hain."
