Hadith text

Narrated Anas bin Malik:The Prophet (ﷺ) noticed the absence of Thabit bin Qais. A man said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! I shall bring you his news." So he went to him and saw him sitting in his house drooping his head (sadly). He asked Thabit, "What's the matter?" Thabit replied, "An evil situation: A man used to raise his voice over the voice of the Prophet (ﷺ) and so all his good deeds have been annulled and he is from the people of Hell." The man went back and told the Prophet (ﷺ) that Thabit had said so-and-so. (The sub-narrator, Musa bin Anas said, "The man went to Thabit again with glad tidings)." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Go and say to Thabit: 'You are not from the people of Fire, but from the people of Paradise

Anas bin Malik bataate hain: Nabi ne Thabit bin Qais ki gair-maujoodgi ko mahsoos kiya. Ek shaks ne kaha, "Ya Allah ke Rasool! Main aapko unki khabar lakar dunga." Isliye woh unke paas gaye aur unhe apne ghar mein baithe apna sar jhukate dekha (dukhi hokar). Unhone Thabit se pucha, "Kya baat hai?" Thabit ne jawab diya, "Ek buri sthiti: Ek shaks apni aawaaz Nabi ki aawaaz se oonchi kiya karta tha, isliye uske sab neik amal radd ho gaye hain aur woh Dozakh walon mein se hai." Woh shaks wapas gaya aur Nabi ko bataya ke Thabit ne aisa-aisa kaha hai. (Doosre raawi, Musa bin Anas ne kaha, "Woh shaks Thabit ke paas achhi khabar lekar wapas gaya.") Nabi ne unse (yaani us shaks se) kaha, "Jaao aur Thabit se kaho: 'Tum Dozakh walon mein se nahi ho, balki Jannat walon mein se ho.'"
