Hadith text
Narrated Abu Huraira:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "While I was sleeping, I saw myself standing at a well, on it there was a bucket. I drew water from the well as much as Allah wished. Then Ibn Abi Quhafa (i.e. Abu Bakr) took the bucket from me and brought out one or two buckets (of water) and there was weakness in his drawing the water. May Allah forgive his weakness for him. Then the bucket turned into a very big one and Ibn Al-Khattab took it over and I had never seen such a mighty person amongst the people as him in performing such hard work, till the people drank to their satisfaction and watered their camels that knelt down there
Abu Huraira bataate hain: Maine Allah ke Rasool ko kehte suna, "Jabke main so raha tha, maine khud ko ek kue ke paas khade dekha, jispar ek baalti thi. Maine kue se paani nikala jitna Allah ne chaha. Phir Ibn Abi Quhafa (yaani Abu Bakr) ne mujhse baalti li aur ek ya do baaltiyaan (paani ki) nikali aur unke nikalne mein kuch kamzori thi. Allah unhe (is kamzori ke liye) maaf kare. Phir baalti ek bahut badi baalti ban gaee aur Ibn Al-Khattab ne use sambhala, aur maine logon mein unse zyada takatvaar kisi ko itna mushkil kaam karte nahi dekha, jab tak log santusht hokar piye aur apne baithe hue unton ko bhi paani pilaya."
