Hadith text

Narrated Qais:I heard Sa`d saying, "I was the first amongst the 'Arabs who shot an arrow for Allah's Cause. We used to fight along with the Prophet, while we had nothing to eat except the leaves of trees so that one's excrete would look like the excrete balls of camel or a sheep, containing nothing to mix them together. Today Banu Asad tribe blame me for not having understood Islam. I would be a loser if my deeds were in vain." Those people complained about Sa`d to `Umar, claiming that he did not offer his prayers perfectly

Qais bataate hain: Maine Sa'd ko kehte suna, "Main sab Arbon mein sabse pahle tha jinhone Allah ki raah mein teer chalaya. Hum Nabi ke saath jung karte the jabke humare paas khaane ke liye siwaye darakhton ke patton ke kuch nahi hota tha, itna ke koi bhi apna mal unt ya bhed ke mal ke chhote gole jaisa dekhta, jisme kuch bhi mila nahi hota tha (unhe jodne ke liye). Aaj Banu Asad qabile ke log mujhpar ilzaam lagate hain ke maine Islam ko sahi tarike se nahi samjha. Main na-kaamyaab hoonga agar mere amal barbaad ho jaen." Un logon ne Sa'd ki Umar se shikaayat ki, daava karte huye ke woh apni namaz sahi tarike se nahi padhte.
